Pathfinder Teams are light reconnaissance units and act as the eyes and ears of the Commander in a way no drone can yet emulate. A Pathfinder's primary role is not to engage the opponent, but to operate ahead of the main force of their comrades, close to the enemy, in order to keep them in check.
The ten Pathfinders in the kit can be assembled in many different ways: there are three leg options (for kneeling, crouching or standing models) and several head options. Models have lighter-than-normal reconnaissance armor that protects the chest, shoulders, knees and elbows, and wear the same long, elegant helmets as the Fire Warriors. They can use a variety of weapons: pulse carbines, railguns, and ion rifles. The kit includes a huge Recon Drone, which can be mounted on a Devilfish tank (not included), and armed with a pulse barrage cannon. The box also includes a Pulse Accelerator Drone with a four-pronged tool under the disc, a Grav-inhibitor Drone and a Recon Drone, with an orb under the structure.
This multi-part plastic kit contains 137 components with which to make 10 T'au Pathfinders, a Pulse Accelerator Drone, a Grav-inhibitor Drone and a Recon Drone.
