Life, Death, Momentum, Calm, and Gold are the essences that fuel the art of magic in this dark world. Choose your wizard, gather essences, shape unique artifacts and use them to summon dragons, conquer places of power and achieve victory!

In Res Arcana, 2 to 4 alchemical mages fight to gain control of ancient monuments and places of power.
Wizards use their essences and magical items to build artifacts, activate their powers, and dominate dragons. The wizard with the most points wins!
Each mage starts with 1 essence of each type, 3 artifacts in hand, and 1 magic item.
During a round, players will collect essences and then take 1 action each turn, until everyone passes.

The object is to have the most points, 10 or more, when victory is verified.

  • Card game rather simple in regulation but with strategic depth.
  • Few tools available to have to juggle at best during the game.
  • Short for the type of game.
  • High replay value.
