You have traveled far into the heart of the Rockies to take care of the imposing structure, now closed for the winter season. However, you are not alone…
The hotel's bloody history has meant that some of its past guests have become permanent additions to the building…and with them, so have the terrifying visions that begin to corrupt your mind. Engulfed in snow, you desperately explore the hotel rooms, trying to gain enough willpower to withstand the evil influence around you. There is no limit to the worst: one of you has already fallen prey to the terrible forces of the hotel and is acting secretly to keep you here forever…
The Shining is a survival and suspense game. Players are the Keepers exploring the hotel, attempting to gain enough Willpower to endure its evil influence each month. Those who fail will be temporarily Possessed, attacking (and possibly killing) other players. Collectively, you will win if you ALL survive to the end of the fourth month.
PS The game is more exciting if the Taken role is used, but it also works as a fully collaborative experience.
